Winning by Losing

The Christian faith is doomed. The way we're fighting, we don't stand a chance of winning. How can you win when the game is rigged in the opponent's favor? The game is played in the hearts and minds of those who listen and read about what's going on in our culture on the issues that rule the day - abortion, gay relationships, euthanasia, etc. through powerful news and information media who have been infiltrated by manipulators that have interests that are at odds with Christianity in many important ways.

A lot of these conflicts are due to misconceptions and ignorance about the church. Many of the accusers are like the six blind men of Hindustan who, upon getting to experience what an elephant is like, by touching its various parts have formed their own opinions of what the animal is and each pretty sure they were in the right but all of them were wrong. One who touched the trunk said it was like a snake because it can coil itself like one, while another said its like a tree as it touched one of the legs. Each one sadly, formed their opinions after a partial experience of what the elephant truly was.

Many even come from within the faith but go away and become its most ardent critic after experiencing something they disliked and failing the church for that. It is due to incomplete preparations that they were defeated and won over by the enemy. If only they have prepared themselves for battle fully armed and shielded. I challenge these critics to first come experience true Christianity and make conclusions afterwards for unless you do it this way, then you are like one of the blind men of Hindustan.

God works in mysterious ways that we can never comprehend with our puny minds and infinitesimal wisdom. Who can ever think that death on the cross will somehow make believers that for two thousand years have never been overcome by any other faith or truth that is more compelling? A death that is by no means the most painful and shameful by any standard allows us to live free from the bondage of sin and satan's grasp. So we might think Christianity is defeated but never for a moment am I doubting that God's plan can ever be thwarted. He has shown that defeat is a victory with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and He will surely show that again sometime soon.

Happy Easter everyone!

First post

I'm trying out another blog.

I'm still experimenting on this medium and do not know where this will lead me. This is not very new on the web but it is not yet as mainstream as email or IMs. Amazing how far we've gone on the web and the new services and technologies available. On the downside we hear a lot of the white collar crimes, spam and other similar things that the web has enabled or magnified.
